Visit Our Farm

Our Story

Several years ago, after the e-coli scare we decided to try our hand at homesteading. We had always just kept a few laying hens but that was the extent of our farming and homesteading skills. We decided to jump in with both feet.

We still only had laying hens, but then kept growing with a veggie garden, meat kings and even a pig.

That eventually led to the goats. It all started with Febe our first Alpine goat. What we didn't realize was that goats gave so much milk!! She was providing us with 6-7 litres of milk in a day. We hardly drank a litre in a week. After we had filled the freezer with milk for winter drinking, we still had too much.  You can only make and eat so much cheese and yogurt and in Nova Scotia it's against the law to sell or give away raw milk. So how could we legally get rid of this milk?!

Our Animals

Even though we are a farm and every animal serves a purpose, our animals are also our pets.

We treat them with love and kindness and try and do things as naturally as possible.
